Arsenal appear to have settled on Jonathan David as their priority signing, as they continue to plan for life after Aubamayeng and possibly Lacazette when he departs.

There is no better goal scorer in Ligue 1 than the Canadian international, who has 12 goals in 26 league appearances. Furthermore, he was instrumental in Lille dethroning PSG for the league title last season, scoring goals left, right, and center.
It's worth noting that Lille has a history of selling some of their best players. Among them are Gabriel Maghales and Eden Hazard.

According to Fichajes, Lille wants €50 million for David and will do business with whoever meets their asking price. Fichajes adds that Arsenal will be willing to pay Lille's asking price.

Arsenal has been struggling to score goals, and David could be the answer.
At the age of 22, the striker has the potential to be a long-term performer for Arsenal. It will, however, be interesting to see if Arsenal wins the race; Chelsea has been linked with him as well.
