Bayer Leverkusen will be looking to climb to the Champions League campaign in the Bundesliga standings when they host Mainz today. They did well to crush Stuttgart 5-2 in their last league fixture.

Mainz, on the other hand, remain in the relegation zone despite beating Union Berlin in their last Bundesliga game. Mainz, though, are not regarded as good travellers, and I don't believe that they are capable of spoiling Bayer Leverkusen’s party today. It has to be noted that Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing their seventh consecutive win over Mainz in the German top flight.

LYON V MONTPELLIER

Lyon will be looking to build on a routine win over Ajaccio when they host Montpellier today in their round of 25 French cup match. They have been producing splendid displays in 2021, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against this visitor.

Montpellier, on the other hand, did well to beat Dijon 4-2 in their last league match, but seeing that they have conceded ten goals in total in the previous four away games in the Ligue 1, I am tempted to put money on the title-chasing side. I think punters can find value in betting on both teams to score also.
