Hello and welcome to the most recent Chelsea development stories. So stay tuned;

International call-ups

Several Chelsea players have received international calls as the club prepares to face Everton this weekend. Reece James, who missed the Leicester game due to injury, has been called up to the Southgate squad for international duty, joining Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, and Ben Chilwel.

Christian Pulisic will make his first appearance for the USMNT since the Qatar World Cup earlier this month. Anthony Hudson named the Chelsea forward to his 24-man squad for the CONCACAF Nations League matches against Grenada and El Salvador.

After being sidelined since January, the American favourite made his comeback this month.

18-year-old Slonina impressess Chelsea owners

Chelsea prospect Gabriel Slonina has caught the attention of the club owners. The 18-year-old keeper has quickly adapted to his new surroundings, and he is consistently one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave Cobham every day.

According to the Athletic, Chelsea owners have noticed the 18-year-old youngster's impressive work ethic in training, but the player will have to fight hard to displace Mendy and Arizzabalaga.

Denis Zakaria Decision

Elsewhere Chelsea are looking for a No. 6 in the coming transfers, but have decided against signing Denis Zakaria from Juventus after his loan period expires this summer. The midfielder has shown glimpses of quality, but injury concerns have overshadowed his season, making the Blues hesitant to sign him.
