Norwich City vs Watford
Norwich were well beaten 1-3 by the in-form Cherries at the weekend but that should spark a strong response here – especially with the magic 100 point tally still within their reach.
Watford look set to claim the second automatic promotion spot and have obviously proven themselves to be a top side at this level, while they also ran out 1-0 winners in December’s reverse fixture at Vicarage Road.
Nonetheless, the Hornets haven’t been great on their travels this term with just seven victories gained in 21 starts (D8, L6), so Norwich look worthy of a punt at odds-against after winning 13 of their 21 home fixtures (D6, L2). Prediction: Norwich to win 3-2
Chelsea vs Brighton
With their place booked in the FA Cup final and Champions League semis, things are going well for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea right now. The only dent in an almost perfect start was the shock 5-2 loss to West Brom in their last home game.
The Blues will be out to put that right on Tuesday, especially given that they can move into fourth with all three points against the Seagulls. With Chelsea looking strong, our predictions favour the hosts to get the job done. Prediction : Chelsea to win 2-1 at full time
Brentford vs Cardiff City
Thomas Franke’s side failed to capitalise on Watford’s defeat at Luton at the weekend as they were held to a goalless stalemate by Millwall here, and a run of five draws from six has likely inflicted terminal damage on their automatic promotion bid.
Brentford are eight points shy of the Hornets with a game in hand, though they have just five matches left to play. It seems highly unlikely that they will close the gap and confidence in the Bees is low from a betting perspective after a string of under par performances. Draw of 1-1 at full time
