England proceeded to the quarter-finals of the European champions after getting a win over the Germans who have been their rivals for a long time. The Three Lions have not been in a good run despite having one of the best squads in the competition.
Germany was expected to win the match ahead of England due to their decent performance in the last two games in the Championship. They had some great forwards like Thomas Muller, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry who all failed to get them through past England.
Kai Havertz has been one of their best player in the tournament so far and their top scorer also with two goals but against England he was awful and he couldn't even create a chance for his side. England was brilliant in defence and they kept out Germany's forwards from getting a goal.
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire made a great job in Wembley to prevent the highly attacking German side from getting a goal. Maguire was terrific in defence yesterday which saw him win the man of the match award.
