UEFA Champions League

Manchester City Owner Sheikh Mansour To Pay For The Flights Of City Fans Attending UCL Final

Man City qualified for their first ever Champions League Finals by knocking out last year's finalists PSG with an aggregate of 4-1. The final will be between Man City and Chelsea which both play in the English Premier League.

Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour will pay for the flights and travel costs of City fans attending the UCL final in Porto next week. The final was at first scheduled to be played in Turkey but UEFA moved it to Portugal after the UK Government put Turkey on it's 'red list'.

This is what Sheikh Mansour said “Pep and the team have had such a remarkable season and their reaching the Champions League Final after a very challenging year represents a truly historic moment for the Club. It is therefore incredibly important that as many fans as possible have the opportunity to attend this special game. Especially those who have supported Manchester City through good and bad times for so many years.”

Man City and Chelsea have each been allocated a total of 6,000 fans each for the game. The final will be played on May 29th.
