Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is among nominees for the Premier League's player of the month award for March.
Shaw who is 25 now , is enjoying a fine season so far, and is also being honoured by his club again, having also won it in February.
Shaw also contributed in March, as the Reds hold the second position in the English Premier League.
Luke was voted man of the match after both of united victories for the matches against Manchester City, West Ham and Crystal Palace. Shaw made his third strike for the club during the memorable Manchester derby win against Manchester City.
He is determined to follow the footsteps of Bruno Fernandes, who has claimed the Premier League's monthly award an incredible four times since signing in January 2020.
United's last winner other than Bruno Fernandes, was Marcus Rashford , back in January 2019. it is rare for defenders to claim the prize, the most recent being Liverpool's right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, in December 2019.
Shaw is against his former teammate, Jesse Lingers, who is enjoying his carrier in West Ham after being taken there on loan. Also the running are Leeds goalkeeper Ilan Meslier, Chelsea's Andreas Christensen and Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez, plus forwards Kelechi Iheanacho(Leicester), Harry Kane (Tottenham) and Leandro Trossard (Brighton)
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also been awarded for bringing good results to United and maintaining the second position in the league table.Ole Gunnar will beat Brighton's Graham Potter, Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rodgers, of Leicester City, this time round.
