Winning Spirit for Kenya after Two Athletes Win In Their Heats

Kenya's hope of getting two medals in the 800 Metres men race in the World Under 20 Championships are higher after Emmanuel Wanyonyi and Noah Kibet qualified for the semifinals.

Emmanuel Wanyonyi won his heat after he recorded a time of 1:46.51 after he led throughout the two laps. Noah Kibet also came first in heat 1 with a time of 1:46.51. Unfortunately or Fortunately for Kenya one of the Ethiopian athletes who would have been a real threat to the Kenyan's was disqualified for stepping off his lane.

The two will run on the Saturday semifinals in the hopes of booking a spot in the finals on Sunday. If the two Emmanuel Wanyonyi and Noah Kibet can get two medals for team Kenya then it would be great joy and show of dominance for Kenyan athletes in the endurance races.

Kenya had two medals in the Tokyo Olympics 800 M men's rac barely a two weeks ago.

All the best to team Kenya in the World U-20 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya.
