The Red Devils still believe Solskjær is the right man for the project this season and the board are showing Ole all of their confidence. They are not planning to replace Solskjær and there is currently no contact with other managers according to Fabrizio Romano, a reknown sports journalist.
Ole is freshly into his new contract at Old Trafford. Manchester United gave their first team coach a new four year contract a few months ago. Recently, even football pundicts are calling for Ole Gunner to be fired. The 44 year old Norwegian boss has done very little to show that he can comfortably guide Manchester United back to its glory days. The club has done exceptionally well in bringing some high class players to his squad but the head coach is simply not well experienced to manage the talented lot.
Solskjaer assistant manager Mike Phelan has extended his contract until 2024 with Manchester United. If anything, this is another message from the club/board to show it is backing the manager and his staff to get the job done.
Manchester United fans are however not convinced that Ole id the man for the job. Here is what they had to say after Manchester United dropped two points vs Everton “You don’t bench Ronaldo, you start him, win 3-0 and then take him off!” one fan said. “Ole gets it wrong every week! It’s criminal. They have such a great squad.” Fans are starting to get the hump.
