Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is definitely enjoying life at Manchester United. The midfielder has grown into a key player of the squad and it is mostly because of him that Manchester United are flying high in the league. His vast experience with Real Madrid has made him an indispensable member of Manchester United under just a year after arriving at the club.
“Manchester United owe a lot to Casemiro. The Brazilian has been outstanding in midfield for them this season. He is the main reason why they are so lethal in counter attacks. He is also the reason why their defense is very difficult to break. If the club manages to sign a new and reliable defensive midfielder alongside him, there is no doubt that Manchester United will win the league,” reported Ian Baker.

Another player that has also been a surprise package this season is fellow Brazilian midfielder Fred. The 27 year old has finally lived up to expectations and is no longer “public enemy #1.” His heroic performance against Barcelona recently was noted with glee by Erik Ten Hag during the post match interview. Even other players have noticed that Fred has grown in confidence and there is no way the club will let him go.

My opinion
Ten Hag has however abandoned Scott McTominay. The Scottish midfielder has been playing a peripheral role this season which is a clear indication that his not needed in the squad next season. Newcastle United have shown immense interest in signing him in the summer, but the club’s board is hesitant to sell the player to a direct rival.

Manchester United are destined for great things in the near future. Ten Hag has already laid the ground work on what the club will build on in the coming years. A few more Casemiros in the squad will definitely make Manchester United a lethal force in the Premier League and Champions League at large. It all narrows down to how good the transfer business is done in the summer.
