England and Man united striker Marcus Rashford is set to return into action this week in a closed door friendly match. The player was suffering from a shoulder injury that he had acquired last season although he kept playing despite the pain of the injury.
In the beginning of this season, the player underwent a surgical operation to cure the injury. After missing several opening matches for united, Rashford has been training separately from the squad and he is keen to return in action after the international break.
Manchester United are set to hold a behind closed doors friendly. The red devils have held friendlies at Old Trafford against Burnley and Stoke since the season began. That has been to boost fitness after a disrupted pre-season and give injured players an opportunity to kick start their return.
The final Results have been mixed; Burnley were dispatched 3-1 but Stoke won 4-3. But the result of the games hasn’t been important, it’s about building fitness and getting game time.
