Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has been voted as bundesliga player of the season and Jude Bellingham as the newcomer of the season by the German professional footballer’s union.His transfer from his former club has made it possible for him to shine at the top of European league and win several trophies as he break a record of scoring many goals in one season.
Lewandowski is the first European golden boot winner from the bundesliga since 1972 as he is also the first Polish player to win this prize.
Robert Lewandowski was also voted bundesliga player of the season by his colleagues in the professional footballer's union in Germany (VDV).Lewandowski received 75.9% of the votes, ahead of Erling Håland (7.1%) and Thomas Müller (3.5%).
With 34% of the votes, Adi Hütter was voted VDV coach of the season ahead of Hansi Flick (29.1%). Julian Nagelsmann and Oliver Glasner (10.6% each) shared third place.Jude Bellingham (24.1%) was voted VDV 'Newcomer' of the season, ahead of Jamal Musiala (19.9%) and Florian Wirtz (9.9%).
