Every premier league manager currently is hoping that their key players participating in the ongoing world cup do not get injured. Others have already suffered this bad luck with Mikel Arteta's Arsenal falling victim to Worldcup injuries.
The Gunners had an impressive run of performances before the league went into a break a few weeks ago. They currently hold the first place in the standings with Arteta keen on opening the gap between him and the second club to be as big as possible.
However, the Gunners have today been handed a huge blow after their top striker was forced to go for surgery following his injury in the Worldcup. Gabriel Jesus saw his time in Qatar with the Brazilian team cut short after he got injured as Brazil faced Cameroon in the last match of the group stages.
The good news, however, is that the player has successfully undergone his surgery and is set to begin rehabilitation soon.
