Arsenal: Saka Should Play in the Right Wing- Fans, Laca's Impressive Record, Arsenal's Top Scorers

Bukayo Saka

Following yesterday’s exceptional performance, fans have agreed that Bukayo Saka is more lethal on the right-wing than on the left. Although he came on as a substitute during the second half, Bukayo Saka was a constant menace to the AFC Wimbledon defense, as he occasionally orchestrated attacks against the Championship side.

Since Pepe has not fully found his form yet, fans have reckoned that it would be appropriate to bench him for a little while and tentatively deploy Saka to the right-wing to see if he could replicate his previous impressive performance in the upcoming fixtures. Last season it worked tremendously, but following Pepe’s redemption in the latter stages of last season, Mikel Arteta sacrificed Saka’s selection to the right-wing. Now, however, fans want Saka back to his original position.

Alexander Lacazette

Lacazette’s impressive penalty conversion rate is currently at 100%, a record he has maintained ever since he joined the Gunners in 2017 from Lyon. He has now scored 8/8 penalties and Mikel Arteta has been more than delighted by this record. Lacazette scored a blistering spot-kick to open the scoring for Arsenal yesterday against AFC Wimbledon at the Emirates.

Going forward, fans and the technical staff will be expecting Lacazette to sharpen his other set-piece skills so that he can have more strengths in his attacking play. It will be a real shame for Arsenal to lose him at the end of the season, but he will most definitely make his final season a memorable one to the fans.

Top Scorers

After scoring a thunderbolt penalty against AFC Wimbledon yesternight, Lacazette becomes Arsenal’s second top scorer after Aubameyang who has 4 goals under his belt. Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, Nicolas Pepe, and Martin Odegaard, all have one goal each for the Gunners. As can be clearly seen, the goal distribution is mainly focused on the offensive players but going forward, fans expect defensive midfielders and defenders to also register their names on the scoresheet.
