Chelsea's 3 Key Players Who Silenced Real Madrid

Tuchel's side had a wonderful night at Bernebue during their clash against Spanish giants Real madrid. Chelsea managed to salvage a point after a 1-1 drawdraw.

The Blues will be delighted with an away goal advantage before they welcome zidane's side to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of this campaign.

Tuchel knew the problems Madrid could pose, so he opted to use 3 centre backs to stregthen his defense. The huge task for the 3rd centre back was to man mark Madrid's center forward and clear errors from the midfield.

The 3 players who significantly impacted in Yesterday's clash included:

#1. Christian Pulisic

The American international who was at his best Yesterday night.He scored the opening goal of the match from an assist from Antonio Rudiger before Benzema's equaliser. The long ball from Rudiger was beautifully controlled by Pulisic and after a fine dribble he scored it with a volley.

Pulisic who was also the playmaker, created several chances which were never utilized well by Timo Werner.Nevertheless, his pace and dribbling skills during counter attacks were felt by Madrid's defense.

#2. Antonio Rudiger.

The German provided an important assist of the game which was converted by Pulisic. Most importanly, his solid defense against Madrid ensured few goals were conceded. The defensive duo behind Christensen ( Silva and Rudiger), displayed anoutstanding performance although they didn't manage a cleansheet.

#3. Ngolo Kante

The French 'Machine' deserves the man of the match after the perfect display at the midfield. Kante played as the holding midfielder and attacking midfielder, dribbling past Madrid's defense and creating problems to Zidane's defense. Additionally, he offered defensive roles by tracking back Counter attacks from Real Madrid.
