Speaking in a TV sports show Sports and heritage cabinet secretary Ababu Namwamba said that he is negotiating with partners to ensure adequate sponsorship for Kenyan football.
The CS disclosed he is discussing with South African broadcast giant to cover the topflight league FKF Premier League.
"I have talked to Supersport over live coverage of the league and will be having a round table meeting with other potential sports sponsors next week." - Sports CS Ababu.
Supesport was covering Kenya's top tier untill 2015 when they exited Kenya before the lapse of their contract with the then Kenya Premier League Limited. The broadcast firm was against the expansion of the league from sixteen teams to eighteen teams.
FKF secured a sponsorship deal with Chinese company star times but exited after two seasons. The 2022/2023 FKF PL season kicked off but with no broadcast partner.
