Chelsea: Chalobah Reveals His Mentor, James the New Fan Favorite, Lukaku's Anticipated Return

Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku’s absence in the past couple of game weeks has been greatly missed mainly because he was a dominant figure in Chelsea’s first eleven in the opening matches of the league. Thomas Tuchel made it plain clear that his return will depend on his willingness to commit to his rehabilitation because the medical team said that the injury was not too serious. On the upside, however, Lukaku has had the chance to see what he previously did wrong to occasion his six-game goal drought.

On his imminent return, fans expect to see more goals from him and more positive energy radiated from him and transmitting it the other players because at times Chelsea players tend to lose focus, like last week against Burnley. Timo Werner will also be another player whom many eyes will be set on. But with Lukaku available, who needs Werner?

Reece James

Reece James has clearly caught the eye of Chelsea fans especially after his exquisite performance in recent gameweeks. The 23-year-old has shown how much of a valuable asset he is to the Chelsea squad and he has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is a reliable player to Thomas Tuchel. Reece James has now joined the big leagues of Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham who are considered some of the great products from the Cobham Academy.

Fans are yet to see a terrible performance from James this season and this speaks volumes about his focus and commitment on the pitch. Also, Thomas Tuchel has never seized to praise him because he has witnessed the potential that the 23-year-old oozes.

Trevoh Chalobah

Trevoh Chalobah recently revealed that his mentor at Chelsea is non-other than Antonio Rudiger. Chalobah said that Rudiger has been of great influence on his playing style and he has learned a lot from the German defender since they first met. He also mentioned that they have established a strong bond together which makes their work at the backline very easy.
