Harambee Stars Remain Stagnant In The Latest FIFA Rankings Despite Their Suspension

With barely 46 days to the first match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, world football governing body FIFA has released the list of men national team rankings across all their members.According to the rankings, Brazil remain at the top with 1841.3 points which is an improvement from the initial rankings where they had 1837.56.Belgium, Argentina, France and England rap up the top 5 positions with 1816.71, 1773.88, 1759.78 and 1728.47 respectively.

Back in Africa, the defending Africa Cup of Nations champions Senegal have maintained their place at the top of the continent with 1584.38 points and an overall position of 18.Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria and Algeria rap up the top 5 positions in Africa with overall positions of 22, 30, 32, 37 and 1563.5, 1507.54, 1498.47 and 1489.1 points respectively.

In East Africa, Uganda has maintained it's dominance after ranking top in the region and 89 overally with 1260.69 points.Despite their suspension which has lasted for over eight months, Kenya have maintained the second position with 1202.26 points and an overall position of 102.Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi rap up the top 5 in the region with 1119.89, 1093.66, 1076.26 points and overall positions of 130, 137 and 141 respectively.
