The media said that the long list would be made up of the following men: Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, Fred, Facundo Pellistri, Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The winter transfer window has officially opened, giving football clubs the opportunity to add to their squads until the end of January and the possibility of these players leaving the club is gaining momentum. The Mancunian side has been linked with attackers such as Harry Kane.
