
One week remains until the January transfer window closes. This is going to be a busy week for Arsenal as Mikel Arteta seeks to make reinforcements in his squad by bringing a midfielder and a striker.
Arsenal’s hopes of finalising a deal for Serbian International and Fiorentina's striker Dusan Vlahovic is fading since the striker is closing a deal with Italy's Serie A Juventus.
Arsenal had identified Alexander Isak as his replacement but the the player wants to stay at Real Sociedad for the rest of the season and is not considerong making a switch to the Premier League.
Newcastle FC are also closing in on signing Arsenal's target midfielder Bruno Guimares from Lyon. The Brazilian International is set to undergo a medical and seal a move with the Magpies. The midfielder has been linked with Arsenal throughout the transfer window and now Lyon have accepted Newcastle's formal bid. Guimares will sign as new Newcastle player.
