Penalties seems easy to take when someone is watching a football match. However, it is a tricky situation that requires a lot of composure. We have seen great football stars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandez miss penalties in more than one occasion. However, there is one African footballer who was excellent when it comes to taking penalties.
It will be a surprise to many football fans that the legendary African footballer, Yaya Toure never missed a penalty during his professional football career. He is recognized as the only top footballer who has managed to convert all penalties he has taken during his days in the English Premier League. Furthermore, Yaya Toure was also good at taking free kicks as he managed to score several of them during his career.
While he was playing for Manchester City, Yaya Toure who was at one point the captain of the Citizens took 11 penalties. He was able to convert all these penalties which is quite an achievement. He tops the list of best penalty takers in the football world. Some other footballers in the list include; Danny Murphy, Matt Le Tissier, Julian Dicks and James Beattie. However all these players are below Yaya Toure since they all missed a single penalty for their respective clubs.
