World cup : Five new records written at the world cup."Salima Mukansanga" writes one on her name.

1. Garang Kuol become the youngest Australian player at the world cup.

Garang Kuol is the youngest player to play at the world cup. A few years ago, Garang Kuol and his brother had to wash jerseys and training kits in order to play for Goulburn Valley Suns at youth level.

The teenager born in Egypt to Sudanese parents, becomes the youngest ever Australian player to feature at the FIFAWorldCup. He was born on September 14 2004.

2. Three players with south Sudanese originality played for Austria.

Most of the Asian, European and American teams have most of there great players having African originality. Austria had three players whose parents are from South Sudan.

3. Ibrahim Konate and Dayot Opamecano made there first world cup appearance.

In the absence of Raphael Varane and Kimpembe. France used Konate and Dayot at the heart of there Central defense. This was there first world cup match for France.

4. Olivier Giroud equalled Thierry Henry's record of 51 international goals for France.

The AC Milan striker hit the target twice for France to reach that record. Going to the match he had 49 goals on his name. Giroud was called up to replace the injured Karim Benzema

5. Salima Mukansanga became the first African female referee to officiate FIFA men's world cup.

Rwanda's Salima Mukansanga has become the first African female Referee to officiate a FIFA World Cup game as a Fourth Official.

She is the first woman to officiate an AFCON game as a Central Referee.

She has officiated at the FIFA World Cup, Olympics, Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), FIFA Women’s World Cup, Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and CAF Women’s Champions League.
