For many seasons now, Kenya national men's football team (Harambee Stars) captain Michael Olunga has always been on a top form.Over the weekend, he was in action as his club Al Duhail secured a 3-1 win over Qatar SC in a Qatar Stars League (QSL) match played on Saturday March 18th 2023.On top of playing the entire match, Olunga was also on the scoresheet as he bagged a brace.
He opened the scoring for Al Duhail in the 10th minute before completing his brace 70 minutes later.Khaled Mohammed rapped it up for Al Duhail with their third goal in the 90+1 minute after which Qatar SC scored their only goal of the match 7 minutes later.The win left Olunga's Al Duhail at the top of QSL table with 39 points from 16 matches, 2 and 7 points ahead of second and third placed Al Arabi and Al Sadd respectively.
Following his brace, Olunga's QSL goal tally this season currently stand at 13 goals, placing him at the top of QSL top scorers list.He is followed closely by Jacinto Dala (Al Wakrah), Youssef Msakni (Al Arabi), Omar Al Somah (Al Arabi) and Yohan Boli(Al Rayyan) who have 12, 11, 11 and 10 goals respectively.
