The newly formed Uefa nations league is back this week and semifinalist will battle it out for a place in the finals of the prestigious competition. Four teams are ready to get in the arena to lock horns and only two will remain to fight at the finals.
The four finalists are Italy, Spain, Belgium and France. For Italy, it is an honor to appear in this tournament at this stage as they are the Euro 2020 winners and winning this competition will add flavour to their trophy collections. Spain on the other hand are looking to win an international silverware since 2012 when they thrashed Italy 4-0 to win the Euros that year.
Belgium, who are the Top ranked by FIFA, will be looking to get silverware this time round after missing out on the Euro 2020 despite being the favourites in that competition few months ago. France will also be on the hunt for a trophy to add on their World Cup 2018 which they won comfortably against Croatia.
The semi final fixtures will be kicking off on Wednesday, with Italy entertaining Spain at home. This will be a match of a thousand emotions as it has seen numerous results in the previous head-to-head. Spain have not won on Italy soil for the last 4 years and they will be looking to break this record as Italy will also be looking to add to their unbeaten 37 matches.
On Thursday, Belgium will be hosting France in the second semifinal. This will be another match to look into as both teams have a great deal of talented players who are highly ranked in the football clubs they play at and also nationally.
