What You Need To Know About The Emirates FA Cup After Chelsea Qualified For The Finals

The Emirates FA Cup qualifying fixtures are now over and the final awaits in a month. The semi finals took place on 16th April and 17th April whereby Chelsea and Liverpool have already qualified for the final. Liverpool survived a late fightback from Manchester City to secure their place in the final at the Wembley stadium. The two sides are among the best teams in Europe at the moment and could also face each other at the champions league final. The two sides had earlier met in an English Premier league encounter which saw the two rivals take a draw of 2 - 2.

Goals from Ibrahima Konate and two from Sadio Mane were enough for Liverpool to hung on the lead. Although Pep Guardiola's men managed to pull two back through Jack Grealish and Bernado Silva, they were not enough to help the team edge out their rivals.

Chelsea today took on Crystal place on another Semifinal at the Wembley stadium. Crystal Palace have been in a great form under Patrice Viera surprising a couple of strong teams including the champions, Manchester City who have failed to take 3 points against them. Palace had earlier on eliminated Everton at the quarter finals and were looking to make it to the final.

Goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount booked Chelsea a place in their third consecutive FA Cup on Easter Sunday. Although Palace did put pressure on Chelsea, they were unable to get something from it. It's now official that Chelsea will take on Liverpool in the finals.

The final will now take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 14.This will be the fourth time the two sides have met this season, twice in the Premier League (1-1, 2-2) and in the League Cup final that the Reds, of course, won in a penalty shootout.

This is going to be one of the most enticing game to keep an eye on as the two sides have different technical abilities and qualities. Chelsea will be looking for a win after they lost 1-0 to Leicester in their last year's finals. Both teams have played 14 times each in the finals from 1872 - 2020 with Arsenal 21 times and Manchester United 19.
