Chelsea: Hazard’s Return Becoming More Realistic- Sterling’s Performance Distracts Fans

Former Chelsea striker Eden Hazard has admitted to struggling at Real Madrid and being dissatisfied with little gametime given to him by Carlo Ancelotti. He nonetheless said that he will continue working hard so that he can get back to his best and dislodge Vinicius Jr from the starting eleven in the near future. He further added that he is still intent on returning back to Chelsea once he finishes his mission at Real Madrid.

“The situation here at Real Madrid is not friendly to me at the moment. I have struggled to wriggle my way back to the squad this season but I am slowly getting there. Ancelotti is confident that I can return to my best but I won’t deny that I am frustrated with how I am being treated. I hope to finish my work here and return to Chelsea as I had earlier on promised before I left Stamford Bridge.”

Chelsea fans are still hoping that the doors for Hazard to Stamford Bridge are still open. Tuchel had no problem with welcoming Eden Hazard back since he revealed that he is a huge admirer of the winger and that the only downside about Hazard is his frequent injuries. It is yet to be known what Graham Potter thinks of the Chelsea legend, who could actually be shortlisted in the transfer market next summer if things don’t work out for him this season.

Raheem Sterling has brought a new roar in the fan base…

Not all fans are interested in having Hazard next season however, since Raheem Sterling seems to have the same impact as Hazard did at Chelsea a few years back. According to them, there is no need to create unnecessary tension in the squad by signing another player who offers the same quality as Sterling in the current squad. As a matter of fact, Sterling has more goal returns than Eden Hazard since the Belgian decided to trade Chelsea for Real Madrid a few years ago.

I agree with the minority of supporters. Signing Hazard next summer would jinx Sterling’s important influence at the club. The club would gain nothing from signing the Belgian again who is already past his prime and has a lot of issues with regard to his injuries. The club has to move on from the 31 year old.
