With major leagues coming to an end, transfer of players is what sets in as per the FIFA calendar. Barely three weeks from now, the summer transfer window will be opened to give room to development of new squads by football clubs. English Premier League clubs that have completed some of their transfer deals are Manchester City, Chelsea and Aston Villa. City have signed Erling Haaland from Borrusia Dortmund for a total of £85.5m. Haaland is through with his medicals and is set to join Etihad subject to the end the of the season. Phillipe Coutinho has signed a four year contract with Aston Villa for a total of £20m from Barcelona. Coutinho has been at Villa Park since January on a loan term with a buy option. Antonio Rudiger will head to Real Madrid at the end of this season on a free transfer.
Shortly after Kylian Mbappe announced his stay at PSG, Chelsea fans ended up speculating about the possible move of Neymar to Chelsea. Speaking about his relationship with Tuchel back in 2019, the Brazilian said," I've developed great affection towards him since when we first spoke." This has raised eyebrows following the privileges given to Mbappe. "Neymar to Chelsea is a real possibility,let's make it happen..." said one of the fans on Twitter. Neymar is what Chelsea needs to solve their goalscoring problem after Lukaku failed to deliver.
Chelsea has joined the race to sign Matthijs De Ligt from Juventus. The star has been linked with a move to Tottenham and Liverpool as Juventus strive to keep him next season. Chelsea's defense has been left in tatters following the departure of Rudiger, Christensen, Alonso and Azpilicueta to La Liga. Chelsea is also interested in acquiring Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan on a free transfer. Sevilla have placed a £59m asking price on Jules Kounde who is also being targeted by Chelsea.
