Arsenal: Vlahovic Changes Transfer Perception, Chambers Appreciated Widely, Tavares' Redemption

Calum Chambers

As surprising as it was to hear that Calum Chambers has left Arsenal so suddenly, Arsenal fans have accepted the transfer and have thanked the defender for his service at the club. Calum Chambers was a very reliable defender and his versatility proved to be one of his strengths as he could play in more than one position without straining. Arsenal fans have said that by releasing the defender, Arsenal seem to be doing a good job in cleaning up the club and getting rid of average players.

Neither Aston Villa nor Arsenal have disclosed the signing fee but it is believed to be ranging between €15- 20 Million which is quite reasonable for a player of his caliber and age. Through his social media platforms, Calum Chambers was kind enough to bid the fans farewell and wished the club the best of luck in its future endeavors.

Dusan Vlahovic

While Chambers' transfer may have been a surprising move, Vlahovic's transfer move to Juventus was almost predictable making his move to Arsenal be termed impossible. Arsenal have been blamed for taking too much time trying to get the deal done but the truth is that the club is not at fault because the club's representatives were doing everything properly. If any blame is to be put on anybody, it should be Vlahovic who had the audacity of leading Arsenal on despite knowing that he would not join the North London club this transfer window.

Because of Vlahovic's wild goose chase, Arsenal have wasted a lot of time in the transfer market and the time between now and the closing of the transfer window seems too short for any deal to be closed. It is time fans accept that not all misfortunes surrounding the club are caused by the fraternity.

Nuno Tavares

Nuno Tavares has completely slipped from Arteta's pecking order and it seems that the Portuguese left-back will have to fix a lot of problems by himself before Arteta learns to trust him again. Last year, the Portuguese had a perfect spell that lasted for a few weeks but after making countless mistakes and not making up for it, Arteta grew tired and decided to sideline him. For the remainder of the season, he might have a chance once more to prove to Arteta that he is worth the gamble.
