The new Harambee Stars coach Engine Firat has named the squad to face Mali in the 2022 Qatar world cup qualifiers. The team will be leaving for Morocco today on Monday where the away match will be played.
The defenders include Joseph Okumu, Joash Onyango, David Owino Odhiambo, Johnstone Omurwa, Eugene Asike, Daniel Sakari, David Owino Ambulu, Abud Omar, Eric Ouma and Bolton Omwega.
The midfielders are Richard Odada,Lawrence Juma, Ismael Gonzalez,Kenneth Muguna, Duke Abuya, Boniface Muchiri, Erick Zakayo, Phillip Mayaka and Abdalla Hassan.
The forwards are Michael Olunga, Henry Meja and Erick Kapaito.
The new coach is expected to lead the Harambee Stars to their first world cup in years and this dream is valid as they are only 2 points behind the group leaders Mali whom they play twice this month.
Harambee Stars have drawn the two matches they have played getting the two points and hoping that the double fixture against Mali and the presence of a new technical bench will help them to improve those results.
