Breel Embolo
Reliable reports have revealed that Swiss striker Breel Embolo has completed a move to AS Monaco from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchegladbach. The 25 year old was under the scope of a lot of clubs including Manchester United but a move to the Old Trafford seems improbable after the latest transfer move. Embolo was incessant about seeking greener pastures and accordingly instructed his agent a few weeks ago to open talks with interested clubs as soon as possible.
Inside sources at Manchester United later revealed that contact was made between the player and the club’s representatives but unfortunately nothing ever came out of it. AS Monaco on the other hand were very swift about the transfer particularly because they want the player to fully replace Wissam Ben Yedder who is a hot target for a number of European big dogs.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Bayern Munich are expected to open talks with Cristiano Ronaldo in the next few days after releasing Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona. A few days ago, Bayern’s Hassan Salihamidzic clarified that the club was not interested in signing Ronaldo because they were confident of keeping Lewandowski through to next season. The tables have however turned for them and that means that they will soon be refocusing their attention on the Manchester United rebel.
If Bayern Munich pursue Ronaldo, there is little doubt that they will sign him within a week. Ronaldo is clearly ambitious and joining Bayern would be a clear no brainer for him if the chance presents itself. Some are saying that Ronaldo might even be the key to Bayern’s prospects of winning the Champions League next season. Nagelsmann is apprehensive about the idea, but could later wrap his head around him once Ronaldo start delivering results during the first few weeks of his time at the club.
