Sports, Culture, and Heritage CS Ababu Namwamba has said that Kenya is laying down strategies to participate in the 2030 World Cup.

Speaking on late night Citizen television news bulletin on Tuesday Mr. Namwamba said "The aura at the world cup is magical. While at Doha, I spoke to Qatari-based Michael Olunga and challenged him to appear at the event donning our national colors."
Just recently the Ministry of Sport announced the reinstatement of the entire FKF Executive minus president Nick Mwendwa.
Ababu Namwamba also revealed that all cabinet Ministers have voluntarily agreed to forfeit their November salaries in order to boost the national drought kitty.
"I'm a football enthusiast. Nothing pleases me than to return Kenya onto the global competition stage," said Namwamba.
Meanwhile the Cabinet Secretary acknowledged that all is not well within the sporting fraternity. He mentioned substance abuse and the use of steroids and banned substance .
