Manchester City vs Arsenal
Manchester City were favourites to reclaim the English Premier League title but those hopes are slowly fading away, thanks to their unlikely 5-2 defeat at home to Leicester City. They followed that with a 1-1 stalemate against Leeds United and have Ederson to thank for that draw. They trail in their bid to recapture the title and have been adversely affected by injuries to their striking pair of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus. Kevin De Bruyne is also expected to miss today's encounter.
The Citizens lost 2-0 at Wembley Stadium in the FA cup semifinals when these two sides last met. However, City have been ruthless against Arsenal in the Premier League, winning six in a row and scoring three or more in five of those six. Arsenal's last Premier League win against Manchester City was in December 2015 when did a league double over City. Therefore City are favourites to beat the Gunners tonight in Manchester.
Getafe vs Barcelona
Barcelona have won to nil against Villarreal and Celta Vigo before conceding against Sevilla's only shot on goal a fortnight ago. Barcelona have won all but two of the last ten meetings with Getafe. The visitors have scored exactly two goals in their five wins against the hosts. The Blaugrana have won in each of their last four trips to Getafe and we are backing them to win again tonight.
B. Monchengladbach vs Wolfsburg
The hosts have won four of their previous six Bundesliga matches. The hosts have started the season with a win, a draw and a defeat while Wolfsburg have produced three statements against Augsburg, Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen. The hosts have won the 3 of the last 5 encounters with Wolfsburg at Borussia Park. B. Monchengladbach to win tonight in North Rhine Westphalia.
Inter Milan vs AC Milan
These two teams have been very impressive in the opening three matches of the season. Inter have won two and drawn one, scoring 10 goals in the process. AC Milan have won all their opening three league matches, keeping a clean sheet in each of them. Therefore, this Derby Della Madonnina at San Siro promises to be an entertaining encounter to watch. The Nerazzurri were superb last season both in Serie A and in the Europa League while the Rasonneri showed exemplary quality during the second half of the league qualifying for European football in the process.
However, the visitors have been dominated by Inter in recent times, losing in each of the last four meetings with their bitter rivals. AC Milan's last win against Inter came in January 2016.Therefore, Inter Milan are unsurprisingly favourites to triumph here based on this recent superiority over AC Milan. Besides Inter have strengthened their squad with some decent signings this season. Inter to win this Derby Della Madonnina in Milan tonight.
Marseille vs Bordeaux
Since Marseille's 1-0 chaotic win against their bitter rivals PSG,they have not won a single match (D3L1). Their last 3 Ligue 1 matches have been 1-1 stalemates. Bordeaux have won twice, drawn thrice and lost once in the opening six league games. They (Bordeaux) 3-9 winners against Dijon a fortnight ago. They look likely to cause trouble for struggling Marseille. A Bordeaux win in Marseille looks likely to happen tonight and therefore we are backing them to win. Besides Marseille have already lost at the Orange Velodrome and drawn against Lille and Metz.
Chesterfield vs Stockport
This English National League match features two sides with contrasting run of form. The hosts have already suffered two defeats sandwiched between their 4-0 success against Woking. Stockport have won three league matches in a row since their 1-0 defeat to Torquay on the opening weekend. The hosts have won three of the last five meetings on this ground. All those five matches were played across League One and League Two. However, Stockport were 2-0 victors when these two sides met last season and are favourites to win again tonight after their impressive start in the National League.
Sporting Lisbon vs FC Porto
Porto will be looking to bounce back from that disappointing 2-3 home defeat against Maritimo two weeks ago. Sporting Lisbon were undefeated at home in 12 matches before they lost 4-1 at home in a Europa League playoff match against LASK. FC Porto have won 6 times in their last six road trips. They (Porto) won 2-1 against Lisbon in January playing on this ground. The visitors are unbeaten in 4 league games against Sporting Lisbon, winning the last three. Therefore, we fancy them to return to winning ways against Lisbon tonight.
