Arsenal have long admired Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Lemar.
His form has sparked a lot of interest, and according to Todo Fichajes, Arsenal is more interested than ever in luring him away from Atletico Madrid. The Todo Fichajes report goes on to claim that Arsenal will have to compete with another Premier League rival for his signature, but this time it will be Manchester United instead of Liverpool.
With Lemar's contract set to expire in 2023, he could be available for a bargain fee next summer, which is when Arsenal should go after him and fulfill their 2017 appetite for his services, as Lemar has returned to his Lyon form and could be a hit at the Emirates.
Arsenal's midfield is quite crowded, but the addition of Lemar only strengthens them. Given that they may be heading to Europe next season, having multiple options could be the next strategy in Arteta's rebuild.
