7Following the international duty set to commence in January in Africa, many players who play for international clubs will be travelling back to their home teams to compete in the African Cup of nations. This comes as a result of postponements which have been occasioned since the arrival of the deadly virus( Corona virus) that was declared a pandemic.
Chelsea has been on fire since the arrival of their new coach and fresh goalkeeping hands of Eduord Mendy the Senegalese. This player has been instrumental in the current postion held by Chelsea. He has kept so far 31 clean sheets in a row since his arrival.
Following the announcement by Fifa officials to African players to start preparing for international duty set to commence in January 9th to 6th February. This tournament was originally scheduled to kick off in June and end by July 2021 but couldn't have been possible due to unfavourable climatic conditions.
Eduard Mendy has been one of the iconic players and goalkeepers in Europe and the whole world. His tremendous saves and spectacular capabilities his has shown will be missed in Chelsea squad for the two months in both EPL and UCL.
