Gor Mahia have finally taken the decision that most of their fans wanted them to do. Today Saturday 30th 2021, the club have officially announced that they have sacked their head coach Mark Harrison, together with his assistant Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo and Jeremy Onyango who was goalkeepers' trainer.
This comes after a terrible dip in form at Gor Mahia. On their official verified Facebook page the club wrote, "As a club, we have made a decision to part ways with head coach Mark Harrison, Assistant Coach Sammy Omollo and goalkeeper trainer Jerim Onyango; Paul Nkata will take ccharge on an interim basis with the youth team coach Jared Otieno as his assistant while we search for a permanent assistant. We thank the three for their services to the club."
Gor Mahia have been struggling lately. In their last four games they have won only one match, drawn two and lost one. The loss came in their latest match when Postal Rangers thrashed them 3-0.
After the new appointment the club will be hoping to regain form and continue with their journey to try win the league. There have also been claims that the poor performance by players is due to the fact that they are playing on empty stomach since they are not being paid.
