Ole Gunnar Solskjær told the Manchester United squad in pre-season that a switch to 4-3-3 was an option this year, but has used the 4-2-3-1 in all of United’s matches so far.
Ole has to get hold of one of them (I'd say McSauce) and tell him to watch Matic's positioning. Just sit there. Don't move. Move the ball side to side cause he's more than athletic enough to compete in that area. Basically what Jurgen Klopp did with Henderson or Pep with Fernandinho.
The partnership between Fred Rodriguez and Scott Mctominay don't work well and I have illustrated this so that everyone can understand.
Life Of Mcfred!
Varane is on the ball. For some reason both Mctominay and Fred decide to run towards our goal. A minimum of one needs to hold their Midfield position so they have a pass in Midfield. Instead they both vacate midfield leaving a huge hole.
This McFred partnership is disastrous!
They're easily drawn out of positions thereby leaving huge spaces in midfield for long shots which led to Benrahma and Ayling's goals (pictured). Solskjaer must fix this.
It was pure incompetence by Manchester United club not addressing this position. Now they've got players trying to learn on the job. Learn on the job at Manchester United you know. Won't see that elsewhere. Feel sorry for them, they're both number eights.
