Mersaille started the match well and got an early goal through Matteo Guendouzzi.Sporting Lisbon were reduced to 10 mins in the 25th minute after two yellow cards for a punishable offense.In the second half, former Arsenal star Alexis Sánchez scored the second goal of the match that gave Mersaille a win away from home.
Arsenal fans went on to praise Nuno Tavares who joined Olympic Mersaille last summer.They Said Tavares was in a good run of form and his club needed him back as he is a top player now.
