Gideon Moi Loses Jogoo To Kalonzo In The AFCON Final

Senegal were crowned Africa Cup of Nations champions after beating Egypt in a penalty shootout. Sadio Mane, who missed a penalty in the first half stepped up to make history for his nation. He successfully banned memories of the team's 2019 failure when they lost the final to Algeria. The Liverpool striker sent his country and teammates into celebrations after converting the decisive penalty. In Kenya, KANU national chairman Gideon Moi might have to do away with one of his cockerels in the pen hen after losing a football 'bet' to WIPER counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka in the Africa Cup of Nations final. Gideon Moi had staked a 'Jogoo' on Egypt, in their traditional red and black. Kalonzo, on the other hand, was rooting for the green and yellow boys is Senegal. Raila Odinga, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, who also wears the hat of African Union's Special Envoy for Infrastructure Development, took a neutral ground. Here is Kalonzo Musyoka's tweet. Senegal declared Monday a national public holiday to celebrate winning its first ever Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Celebration erupted in the capital, Dakar, after their national team won the final in the Olembe Stadium in Cameroon's Yaounde on Sunday evening.
