Gabriel Jesus was outstanding for Arsenal today as he scored two goals and provided two assists to help the team win their second match of the season. The Brazilian star failed to score in the first match of the season but was the best player for Arsenal today.
The Gunners thrashed Brendan Rodgers men Leicester City today at the Emirates stadium. Arsenal took home the three points in the 4-2 victory over the Foxes to move second behind Manchester City in the table but level on points.
Mikel Arteta's side started the match well and took an early lead in the 23rd minute through a brilliant strike from Gabriel Jesus before he doubled the lead 12 minutes later through a header.
Leicester City pulled a goal back after the start of the second half through William Saliba's own goal but Granit Xhaka restored the two-goal advantage for Arsenal two minutes later after a mistake from the Foxes goalkeeper Danny Ward.
James Maddison scored the second for the visitors in the 74th minute but Gabriel Martinelli sealed the win for Arsenal with a spectacular strike in the bottom corner.
Gabriel Jesus was amazing today but his fellow countryman Martinelli was unstoppable for Leicester defenders and they struggled to play against him.
Martinelli was electrifying down the left wing and despite scoring only one goal made a great impact in the match for the Gunners. His pace, dribbling, creativity, and chances created helped the Gunners match in the attack.
Martinelli came close to scoring more goals for the Gunners in the match but he was unlucky. The 21-year-old winger was amazing for Arsenal today and he will be the best player for the Gunners this season.
