A breathless first-half in Saint Petersburg last week saw Real Betis take control of this Europa League tie and I’m backing them to repeat their success in Sevilla on Thursday. Last week’s clash was Zenit’s first competitive match since mid-December and it certainly showed as they conceded two early goals to the in-form Spaniards .
Real Sociedad vs Leipzig,2
Leipzig had to come from behind twice in the opening leg to draw 2-2 but they bossed the shot count 20 to three. They have recovered strongly from a slow start to the season and climbed into the top four after Sunday’s stunning 6-1 success at Hertha Berlin. Sociedad were far less convincing when losing 4-0 at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, and their European adventure could be coming to an end.
Olympiacos vs Atalanta,1
Atalanta are winless in five league matches, finding the net only twice during that run, and they are likely to be missing forwards for the trip to Greece. Olympiakos have won 27 of their last 30 home games in the Greek Super League, drawing the other three, and they are a big price to upset their faltering visitors.
Maccabi Tel Aviv vs PSV,2
PSV were 1-0 winners over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the first leg of their Conference League knockout tie last week and should have more than enough quality to repeat the trick in Israel
Lazio vs Porto,2
Lazio go into the game in poor form with just two wins in their last seven games, with two defeats in their last four, while Porto are flying and have won 13 of their last 14, drawing once. Porto are the form team here, so I’m backing porto to finish the job off with a win at a big price after their first leg victory.
