"This is the Unluckiest Season I've Ever Had in My Career," Chelsea Player Admits

Chelsea faced Leicester on Tuesday evening to try secure a spot in the top four which has off late been quite competitive between Chelsea, Leicester and Liverpool.

The blues climbed their way up after beating Leicester 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to secure the 3rd position in the league with just one more game to play.

After the match, Chelsea striker Timo Werner was asked about his views on the match as he was involved in almost every attack play Chelsea had and even won a penalty for the team.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the German admitted that it was hard for his team mates and him to recollect after they lost the FA finals to Leicester last Saturday at Wembley Stadium and really needed the win in the league match.

Werner also added that this was the most unlucky season he ever had and will ever have as he's failed to reach his goal scoring potential unlike he did when he was playing for Leipzig where he was a goal scoring machine.

Here is a video link of Werner's after match analysis with Sky Sports.

In the course of the match, Werner was denied a goal by the VAR which ruled his goal out due to a hand ball. Hopefully, next season the German will show his full potential at Chelsea and at least score more goals than he do this season for the club.
