UEFA has been very strict with doping. The European football governing body has been very vocal cautioning players against taking performance boosting drugs to strengthen them in sport.
According to Latest news, Ajax goalkeeper, Andre Onana has been banned from playing football for the next 1 year. This is after a banned substance was found in his body.
The Cameroon international is very famous among Soccer loving European fans after he starred in Ajax's sensational Champions league run a few months ago.
Onana is among the most in demand goalkeepers in European football currently, with Chelsea being linked for his signature heavily. Germany giants Borussia Dortmund are said to have wanted to sign the 24yr old at the end of the season.
Ajax have claimed Onana mistakenly took a drug prescribed for his wife and had no intention of cheating. The famous Dutch club intimated they'll appeal the decision soon.
