Chelsea News: Graham Potter Rule out two players ahead of Palace Clash

Chelsea will play Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park after being out for nearly a month. The Blues have had an inconsistent start to the season and will need a win to optimise their chances of winning the league.

Graham Potter had to wait more than three weeks for his league debut as Chelsea manager. The English tactician received a significant boost in training at Cobham, as both Edouard Mendy and N'Golo Kante trained alongside the rest of their teammates. Kante, on the other hand, did not participate in full training but should be available for selection.

When the Blues face Patrick Viera's team, they will also be missing two players. Carney Chukwuemeka and Marc Cucurella both succumbed to illness and are in doubts for selection.

Potter Kante, Cucurella, and Chukwuemeka: "N'Golo is progressing well in his recovery. He's been on the field with the team, but not in full training phase."

"We have some illness with Marc Cucurella and Carney Chukwuemeka."

Chelsea won't be affected by Cucurella's absence because Ben Chilwel can easily slot into Potter's starting lineup.
