Zoo Kericho FC To Compete In The National Super League Next Season

Zoo Kericho will feature in the National Super League (NSL) next season, this is after Football Kenya Federation (FKF) made the announcement.

The Kericho-based team had erroneously been relegated to the FKF Division One League by FIFA over match fixing allegations instead of the second-tier (NSL).

Zoo Kericho was relegated from the FKFPL early last season by the FIFA Discplinary Committee over alleged involvement in match fixing. However, the ruling made an error as it ordered that the team be relegated to the Division One league, which is the third-tier.

However, Zoo Kericho through its lawyers sought clarification on the matter and has received the feedback from the international governing body.

Conversely, three clubs have rebranded due to loss of sponsorship: Modern Coast has rebranded to Mombasa Elite FC, Coast Stima to Coastal Heroes FC and Western Stima to Kisumu United FC as Mt. Kenya United rebrands to Dandora Love FC due to change of ownership.
