REPORTS: Manchester United centre-back could finally leave the club for £15million transfer fee

Manchester United will almost certainly attempt to win at least the English FA Cup under Ralf Rangnick's direction before the conclusion of the 2021/2022 season.

The Old Trafford club made several acquisitions during the summer in order to fight with the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea for a spot in the Premier League's top four this season.

However, that is not quite happening as the Red Devils are now 7th in the Premier League standings after their most recent 2-2 draw away to Aston Villa on Saturday.

However, now that the January transfer window has officially opened, Manchester United may be willing to unload seasoned center, Phil Jones.

The 29-year-old England international, who has been at Manchester United since 2011, has previously failed to get into the first-team squad.

The veteran center defense failed to recover from an injury and did not appear for Manchester United in the 2020/2021 season.

Phil Jones has finally recovered and has made four appearances for Manchester United in all competitions since the start of the 2021/2022 season.

However, it is thought that Phil Jones is not seen as an essential component of Manchester United's first-team squad, and the Red Devils are now looking to unload him, according to Daily Mail reports.

According to the rumors, Manchester United is expecting to lose Phil Jones this month and has set a price tag of up to £15 million on him.

However, it remains to be known where Phil Jones will continue his football career if he is able to leave Manchester United before the conclusion of the January transfer season.
