Juma’s family led by his elders’ daughter, Teresia Juma, has asked the government to intervene and help the young siblings to continue with their life interfered. They also want the government to take over the control of Juma’s parcel of land and use it for other development projects.
However, fanfare displayed at the burial ceremony after Gor Mahia and AFC Leopard fans steal the show with songs, dances, and all forms of mourning celebrations in a show of solidarity and to give their colleague a befitting send-off.
The burial service was attended by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, County women Rep Elsie Muhanda among other government officials.
The leaders call on the speedy investigation by the police agencies to ensure perpetrators are brought to book and facilitated to face the full force of the law.
Juma was murdered on Jan 26 by unknown persons, with the police saying that land tussle could have led to his killing.
Isaac Juma was laid to rest at his Ebuyenjere village, Mumias West Constituency in Kakamega County.
