Over the recent past years, Kenya national team Harambee Stars has been losing rich football talents to other countries especially European like Divork Origi and Philip Mwene to Belgium and Austria respectively. However, that is not the case for England based defender David Sesay who has received a call up to Sierra Leone national team as he joins another African country.
Sesay who has both Kenyan and Sierra Leone roots through his parents has been Harambee Stars prospect for a while now.He once received a call up into stars squad in 2019 but turned down the offer to help his then club Crawley Town FC which was struggling relegation.
He was assured of a call up to the Kenyan national team for October outings but the stepping down of coach Ghost Mulee as the teams head coach ruined up all his expectations with the team which had already approached him.Sesay had chosen Kenya over Sierra Leone national teams but now that a chance has prevailed itself he cannot miss the chance once again.
Sesay is set to debut for Sierra Leone in their three friendlies this current international break. If he plays over 3 matches for Sierra Leone then it means that Harambee Stars will have to forget about his services.
Do you think Sesay can town down Sierra Leone's call up to join Harambee Stars? Feel free to share your views on the comment section and remember to share and follow for more news.
