Kenya premier league top scorer Derrick Otanga has opened up about a move abroad.Speaking in an interview at the nation centre, the KCB forward who finished the league with 16 goals ahead of Police FC winger Clifton Miheso (15) was optimistic that a move abroad was imminent. The 23 year old claimed that he doesn't see himself at KCB next season unless the side steps up.Otango stated that a number of clubs abroad have approached him and he has already finished talks with two sides.Zambian side Zanaco FC and Rwandan side AS Kigali who agreed personal terms with him. However, Bandari FC are the only local side that have approached him.The KCB priced asset revealed that he was waiting for a Tunisian side who are set to submit their offer on Thursday before making his decision.

According to Otanga,he is eager to taste the challenge away from home soil,he also wants to taste the feeling of playing in the CAF champions league or confederation cup games next season. According to the nation report, Zanaco finished 6th and will not feature in any of the two CAF competitions, on the other hand,AS Kigali will play in the CAF confederation cup after winning the league Cup in Rwanda.

Although, the striker did not mention the Tunisian side,we can easily deduce that the side will be playing in the CAF champions league next season. During the explicit interview, the Kenyan was sure of moving abroad and it was only a matter of time before his move is official unveiled. On the other side,KCB have not spoken about their prices asset. The bankers will be hoping to convince him to stay for another season. Derrick has been consistent in his two seasons,in the previous season, he finished with 13 goals while in last season he finished with 16 goals. That shows the consistency of the prolific striker.
