Former CJ David Malaga
Ten candidates who had applied for the post of Chief Justice in Kenya are today being interviewed at the supreme court of Kenya. The judicial service commission is keen to undertake the most valid and appropriate procedures in the whole process to finally determine the candidate who will succeed former CJ David Malaga.
Justice Ouko, Joseph Sergon, Fred Ngatia, Prof Lumumba Nayaberi, Ms Yano, Kathurima M'Inoti, Koome, Nderi and High Court Judge Chitembwe are among the shortlisted candidates for the CJ. As scheduled, the exercise started today and it is set to be completed by April 24, 2021.
Speculations are now high among Kenyans as they anticipate for their next CJ to be officially announced by the Judicial service commission. Meanwhile, it is my opinion that we all join hands together and pray for our country to promote oneness, accountability, openness and a united Kenya. Otherwise, we wish the candidates all the best.
