Chelsea have enjoyed a stunning start to their 2021/2022 campaign, having won 4 of their 5 assignments (D1) across all competitions including a hard fought 1-0 victory against a stubborn Russian Side Zenit St Petersbug in their Champions league opener on Tuesday night.
The Stamford bridge based outfit have become a force to be reckoned with after they appointed Thomas Tuchel as their gaffer. In less than 9 months at the Blues dugout, the Germany tactician has inspired the club to the UCL crown, UEFA Super cup as well as a 4th place finish in the PL last season.
The West Londoners have won 3 & drew 1 of their opening 4 league fixtures which has catapulted them to 2nd place in the PL table, level on 10 points with toppers Manchester United as they aim to mount a serious title challenge this season. However their next 2 league fixtures will be vital in their title race aspirations as they go head on head with fellow title hopefuls & direct top four opponents.
Chelsea will take on rivals Tottenham in what is expected to be a fierce London derby at the White Hart Lane on Sunday before they face off against defending PL champions Manchester City in a blockbuster PL clash a week later on 25th September.
Considering both sides are formidable opponents & they also boost strong squads, clearly indicates that despite Chelsea's blistering form, they can drop points in their next 2 league fixtures which could see them drop out of the top four in the PL table.
